Switch ON a Computer, Switch OFF a Computer

Now a days we are working 24*7 on our favorite machine that is a computer.So we should also know how to start and shut down a computer.

• Today you will also know about the  power buttons on both the CPU and the monitor.

Those buttons are used to switch them On and OFF just like a television. Let us learn the steps to start a computer

Switching ON a Computer

Step 1: Press the main power button.

Step 2: Switch on the UPS.

Step 3: Press power button on the CPU.

Step 4: Switch on the monitor.

After sometime, the computer will turn on and you will see the Windows 10 welcome screen.

After few seconds, you will see another screen with some pictures on it.

This screen is known as Desktop.

The small pictures that you can see on the desktop are known as icons.

 The long horizontal bar at the bottom of the desktop is called Taskbar.

To the left of the Taskbar, there is a Start button which helps us to open programs stored in the computer.

Switching OFF a computer

After working on the computer we should shut down it.It is very important to shutdown your computer properly, otherwise your computer will get damage. Shut down is also called as “Turn off” .

 Switching OFF is also called shutting down.

To shut down a computer, follow these steps:

Step 1: Click on Start button.

Step 2: Click on Power button. A menu with three options.

Step 3: Click on the Shut down option.

Step 4: A window with the message Shutting down appears. After a few seconds, the computer will switch off.

Step 5: Now, switch off the monitor.

Step 6: Next, switch off the UPS.

Step 7: Switch off the main power button.
